Lobby lines converge at the horizon point beyond my imagination where pets provoke Mona Lisa’s bold lipstick smile and perfectly applied foundation the color of sand puréed into silken shoes during midnight chi-mek amongst the young craft brews learned four seasons ago sliding into first place knowing it’s not a race to belong until my unpainted lips part ways unknown while familiar twisted DNA lurks. Comforts. Defies.
